Motherland addresses the relationship between photography and territory in its deepest understanding, among authors and belonging to a place. The images that arise are born out of a growing need to look for their homeland: each responds in its own way, investigates its old or new lands, large or small, real or virtual, with personal visions, the result of the need to return or to get away. Motherland is an issue investigated and widespread in photography and the festival of Rome, from which the volume is born, researching today around the creation of ever new identities in a discovery and technology of the world, where, however, the strong need to investigate new territories; look for your own.
